How is it that when you have to wake up at certain time the next day, you are hit
with a bad case of insomnia?Have the alarm all set for morning,have plans for
next day and there goes insomnia,buzzing around.The brain’s thinking,more alert
and annoying than probably the whole day. And its not really insomnia is it, it’s
just your annoying mind following some different time zone completely. This is
how the whole scenario goes:
ME: Ah ,I’ll sleep now.
Brain: I’m so awake.
ME: Shut up.
ME: *sigh* 2 hours later — still wide awake…
ME: Let’s read a book
Brain:Meh don’t feel like it.
ME: Let’s watch a movie.
ME: alright let’s complete that assignment due.
Brain: Hell no!
Brain: Am hungry…
ME: *sigh* Jeez seriously now?Shut up will ya?!
Couple hours more of random nonsense…
Brain: Hey let’s scare the hell outta neighbor’s!
ME: Oh god, is this thing ever quiet?
Finally ,finally after disturbingly pathetic attempts at falling asleep, I
remember this song (yep not exactly a lullaby but works) on my playlist and play it on repeat. And…
Brain: *yawn* goodnight.
Me:About time! 🙂
Ta-da it works ! The idiosyncratic brain is asleep.
